Chapter One provides extensive knowledge about the second generation cephalosporin, cefaclor, which possesses antibacterial activity against aerobic Gram-positive microbes, and better coverage against Gram-negative microbes. Chapter Two gives an overview of microbial responses against chloramphenicol, with special focus on mechanisms of resistance. Chapter Three covers Cetirizine, an optimal second-generation antagonist of peripheral histamine H1 receptors.
