After Cancer : Issues, Changes, Making a Difference

There are almost 14 million people in the U.S. today who are cancer survivors. Three out of every four American families will have at least one family member diagnosed with cancer. This book is available to help individuals support survivor''s unique needs. It covers post-treatment issues such as follow-up medical care, physical and emotional changes, and changes in social and work relationships. While some people prefer to put their experiences with cancer behind them, many choose to draw on them to get involved with cancer-related activities. They may feel that there are certain areas or issues where there is more work to be done. Or perhaps someone helped and inspired them during treatment, and they feel it''s their turn to give to others.
