Volume 30 provides a detailed update on the production of salt-tolerant plants through molecular breeding and genetic engineering. Future prospects and concerns, along with the importance of novel techniques elucidating the genetic basis of salt-tolerance are also discussed. Next, a holistic framework for understanding and assessing the governance sustainability of Bulgarian agriculture is presented. This new approach is tested through a large-scale study for assessing the governance sustainability of a country''s agriculture at national, sectoral, regional, eco-system and farm levels. The authors go on to study the influence of abiotic factors such as temperature and water potential on the growth of E. turcicum on different crop residues used in rotations with maize under no-till system cultivation. In addition, strategies for minimizing food waste proposed by different organizations and countries that face the common challenge of achieving the participation of all sectors of society are analyzed. Later, male organ development in Brassica oleracea contributing the embryology of the Brassicaceae family is investigated, along with the beginning, advanced and final stages of programmed cell death in anther cell walls by cytochemical, biochemical and molecular processes. Two investigations were carried out in northwest Italy in an effort to highlight the importance of tannin quantity and quality on pastures, particularly focusing on the way this can affect milk quality during the grazing season due to changes in nutritional composition. The closing study focuses on Cannabis sativa L., or hemp, an annual, dioecious plants distributed especially in the northern hemisphere. Hemp plant contains at least 113 different phytocannabinoids and a diverse class of psychoactive compounds.
