Hanna Moon found the best way to get published while she was still a student: by simply creating her own magazine, with a name that could be qualified as predestined: A Nice Magazine. With it, she was able to have all the freedom to make her own series, and to invite her friends. A whole tribe that gravitated around the prestigious school of fashion design, the Central Martins School, that she joined in the fashion design section to end up graduating in photography in 2014. For her first book, she returned to her country, to Seoul, but also to Daejon, her hometown, 150km south of the capital. Back to her roots, her family, and her friends. A dive into a country which remains mysterious for most people, despite its pop culture spreading around the world. Intimate photographs of everyday life, of a digital generation that still flirts with the values of the past! Digital memories displayed on her computer desk, memories of small moments that form recollections!Born in Daejon, Hanna Moon became interested in fashion and moved to Seoul for two years to study textile, before flying to London at the age of 22 as part of a one-year exchange, where she studied fashion communication and discovered photography, a topic of interest among many others. She will staythere while going back and forth to Korea. Assistant to Tyrone Lebon, she is quick to fly on her own. A noticed exhibition in 2019 at Somerset House in London, with Hong Kong artist Joyce Ng was a manifesto for Asian miscegenation. She is a regular contributor to magazines such as AnOther Magazine, British Vogue, Dazed, The Gentlewoman, i-D, M, and Re-Edition, and with brands such as Acne, Adidas, Gucci, Supreme, and Valentino.
