Ambitions

The elders on the island Flint grew up on are the last to remember the damage done to their community by the English decades before. Flint has grown up withe the weight of their desire for revenge on his shoulders. He''s a bright student and he spots a chance to act out their wishes if he can get to England.

Louise is the only member of her small town in the north of England to have the drive to go to university where she develops a major new technology which could set her up as a successful businesswoman in the biotech industry.
