The articles within this volume are organized into four parts. In Part I, students are provided with an overview of financial crises theory. Part II explores two great crises, the Great Depression in the United States and the Asian financial crisis of the 1990s. In the third part, students examine country-specific crises, including Bolivia and its experiences with inflation, Iceland’s banking crisis, Mexico’s trade issues and fiscal reform, and crises that befell Thailand and Argentina.
