The Mediterranean Motorway, or AP-7, is the main route that connects all road traffic alongSpain’s Mediterranean coast, stretching from Algeciras to France. Its first section, inauguratedin 1969, was widely featured in Francoist development propaganda as a symbol of progress andthe starting point of Spanish consumer society. This archival and research project seeks to look beyondnostalgia in the narrative of progress and tourism in our country.
