Later in life he was able to visit Barry Scrapyard and recorded the locos seen over a seven-year period from 1977 to 1983. He then went back in the early 1990s to photograph every last remaining locomotive.Those holiday stop-offs at that famous scrapyard created a photographic record of a unique place, now long-gone.
