While attending Tsuda College, she moved to California to study, where she discovered photography. After returning to Tokyo, she worked as an assistant for Kazunori Yamaji before becoming an independent photographer. Nakagawa’s photographic works capture natural moments of the subjects, flickering slivers of everyday life, as well as beautiful landscapes. She has traveled to various locations, domestically and internationally and has photographed more than 70 cities in 18 countries. She holds exhibitions regularly and does commercial works for magazines, advertisements, and for the music industry. Publications include “Tabi no Hibiki (Melodies of Traveling)” (Published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha, in collaboration with Kazushi Miyazawa), “Futaribun no Shiawase (Happiness for the Two)” (Published by Pie Books, in collaboration with Kasai Miku), “Tsugakuro (School Road)” (Published by PLANCTON).
