Beyond The Blue Horizon : An adventurous journal of my travels through the United States of America

During the winter of 1985, Linda Evelyn Stevens-Smith made her great escape. She sent herself on an unforgettable adventure across the scenic USA, where she encountered faces and strange places that would remain with her for the rest of her life. This is her own personal story as a lone female traveller setting out to fulfil her dreams. To experience this was why she was there. Having grown up with Western movies – and, therefore, since early childhood, developed a love and a keen interest in the Old West – she had also acquired a love for Country & Western music. It was the gunfighter ballads & trail songs, along with those Western movies, that encouraged and motivated her to go and see the magnificent cowboy country that she previously had only seen on the big silver screen. The beauty and vastness of that wilderness captured her heart and gave her the inspiration to write “Beyond The Blue Horizon".
