Addresses the literary problems posed by II Sam 9 - I Kings 1f. This study reflects intensive theological debates in several comprehensive reworkings until the 3rd century BC. It results in important insights into the early kingdom of Israel.
"R. offers a stimulating contribution to the question on the literary growth of the throne-succession narrative, which will certainly give rise to lively discussion." Stefan Seiler in: The Catholic Biblical Quarterly 2008
