Derby at War

Derby at War presents a superb collection of over 200 images supported by informative captions. Together they portray the experiences of Derby people during the Second World War. This is not a definitive account of the war years, but an attempt to recapture the atmosphere during what was perhaps the most important period in Britain’s recent history – a time when our nation’s towns and villages fought for their very survival against a determined enemy, in a war that directly touched the lives of everyone.
