This textbook deals exhaustively with electrical machines and provides examples of their application to modern electromechanical drive systems. Some everyday examples of these applications can include: a cooling fan driven by electric motor (usually a single-phase induction motor), a washing machine drum driven by a PM brushless motor or SRM, an electric screwdriver driven by an AC brush motor, a wind turbine with induction or PM brushless generator, etc. Most of the material in this book has been classroom-tested, with very successful results.
