This activity book lets pupils apply the phonic knowledge they are gaining from ELS Progress.Apply Book 2 goes with the first six Rise books in the ELS Progress programme. For example, pupils will read about an interesting artist after reading the book Incredible Art. Or they will read about a day in the life of a dice snake after reading the book Great Escapes. The practice and application will firm up their skills and knowledge of sounds, and keep them progressing.All the text (including instructions) that is meant for pupils to read is fully decodable, aligned with the ELS progression. Text for children to read is also at the same reading level as the Rise book it goes with (Oxford Reading Levels 5–6).
