This volume unites the fields of energy ethics and comparative philosophy to provide an overarching global perspective and approach to applying energy ethics. By engaging different ethical systems, including explicitly non-European perspectives, the book uniquely takes a comparative approach in evaluating energy justice on the global scale. Additionally, the book assesses energy ethics in different regions through empirical and policy oriented lenses. The majority of the book''s sections focus on different regions with varying ethical traditions, and the chapter authors evaluate each region''s mechanisms for sustainable energy development from ethical and technological standpoints. This volume will be of interest to undergraduate and graduate students studying energy justice, ethics and environment, as well as energy scholars, policy makers, and energy analysts.

Section 1 introduces readers to the current global state of energy justice, the concept of ethics without borders, and the potential of comparative philosophy to assess intercultural ethics for renewable energy transitions. Sections 2 through 5 each address ethical perspectives from countries in different regions, including; 1) Africa, 2) Asia, 3) Europe, and 4) South America. Section 6 assesses energy justice according to contemporary theistic traditions. Section 7 concludes the volume by summarizing the book''s key contributions for comparative ethics, and making recommendations to policy makers and project developers about future energy transition policies.
