Geochemical Reaction Modeling : Concepts and Applications

This is the first text/reference to treat the field of geochemical reaction modelling in its entirety. The book will (1) develop the field's theoretical basis and governing edquations in a logical sequence, (2) give concrete examples of how the techniques may be applied, and (3) present case studies that build on sample problems.

Geochemical reaction modeling plays an increasingly vital role in several areas of geoscience, from environmental geochemistry and petroleum geology to the study of geothermal and hydrothermal fluids. This book provides an up-to-date overview of the use of numerical methods to model reaction processes in the Earth''s crust and on its surface.
