Geographies of Health, Health Care, and Wellbeing

Recently, a growing volume of literature indicates the increasing impacts of global environmental change, globalisation and economic liberalisation on health; therefore, issues related to inequity, inequalities, disparities and vulnerability need to be re-examined. This book includes the latest developments of concepts, methods, perspectives and issues in the geographies of health, health care and wellbeing. The book consists of three parts representing three major domains of health geography. Each part covers one important concept and related methodology issues as a focus area, which is currently used in teaching and research in health geography. The book also presents a major representation of research studies from developing countries in general and South Asian countries in particular.
