The 5th edition of Glossary of Biotechnology and Agrobiotechnology Terms will be a significant expansion of the previous 4th edition. In the past decade, many new terms have been introduced due to the appearance and application of new crop plant breeding methods as well as technical advances in genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and agricultural research. The 5th edition, like previous editions, will be useful for regulators of agricultural biotechnology around the world, customers, biotech patent officials, venture capitalists, and agbiotech company executives, as well as biopharmaceutical industries and academics.
