Citizens of all ages and backgrounds come together to call for an end to the regime's injustice, violence and repression, chanting 'Woman, life, freedom'.<br><br>The current protests are the most widespread and important the country has seen since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. But they are also part of a long struggle for women's rights in Iran.
