This Collector''s Box brings together three contemporary artists from three different countries in a celebration of Eastern traditions. Each talented artist interprets their national traditions through a distinctive form of expressive art: explore the work of Japanese manga creator Momoko Sakura, Chinese artist Zeng Fanzhi, and leading South Korean typographic designer Ahn Sang Soo.
The tactile fabric-covered box combines the artwork of each artist on the outside, with the three notebooks safely stored in its drawers.
Open to discover a Sakura notebook with designs by Japanese manga creator Momoko Sakura, author of the well-known and much-loved manga Chibi Maruko-Chan. This notebook comes with themed stickers and a greeting card, both with original artwork by Momoko Sakura.
There are also two Year of the Dragon notebooks. One features a painting created by Chinese artist Zeng Fanzhi in celebration of Chinese New Year 2024. One of the most celebrated artists working today, Zeng is lauded across the globe for his technical mastery and ability to conjure emotion from his subject matter.
The second notebook celebrating Lunar New Year is by South Korean Ahn Sang Soo. A visual designer and typographer, he was awarded the Gutenberg Prize by Leipzig, Germany, in 2007. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions in many countries and was invited to participate in the 2022 Tokyo Biennale. Both Year of the Dragon notebooks come with lucky envelopes.
