On the Forefront of Educational Psychology

This book contains leading important research on the forefront of research on educational psychology. The papers relate to four topics: (1) Learning (measuring self-regulated learning, cognitive development, academic motivation, academic self-concept, and fluency), (2) Special Education (measuring ADHD and acceptance of peers with disabilities), (3) Learning communities of teachers, parents and students (conceptions of schools, parent and school partnerships, and classroom environment and educational outcomes), and (4) Educational psychology in university teaching (lecturing, and teacher leadership in early childhood education). The creation of proper linear measures for common educational variables is causing a minor revolution in educational psychology. It is possible that these measures will lead to useful ''laws'' for education, in much the same way that ''laws'' were developed in physics and chemistry.
