Palestinians In Kuwait : The Family And The Politics Of Survival

This study is an investigation of the strategies of the politics of family survival and adaptation employed by a displaced population; the Palestinians in Kuwait. It brings to light an undocumented and important side of the Palestinian diaspora.

The research, field work and writing for this study have taken over two years. The book was originally written as a Ph.D. dissertation under the supervision of Professor James Bill of the University of Texas (at Austin). I am grateful to him for his careful and considerate attention to the manuscript at its several stages.
