To do this, it starts from a series of comparable (non) competitive encounters taken from the programs Big Brother 12, in Germany, and Big Brother 17, in Spain. Applying corpus linguistics to reality television allows us to describe the two types of communicative situations from the theory of the register, as well as to propose a novel methodology when it comes to identifying, analyzing and classifying requests in conversation.
