After years of classroom teaching and his concern about individual apathy and ignorance, as well as the electorate's discontent with the current political system, Professor Tom Caiazzo ran for U.S. House of Representatives in 2002 for District #3 in Texas. Facing a career politician that was an entrenched incumbent, Professor Caiazzo knew that his chances were slim to none.
