Reden wir uber Baukultur! : Was in Zukunft wichtig wird

As a collective cultural achievement, building culture is not a private matter: it is a physical expression of our society. It defines not only the character of our living environment, but also the processes of its creation, adoption, use, and preservation. Our building culture is tightly interwoven with people’s daily lives and influences their coexistence and wellbeing. The question of how we wish to shape this coexistence is relevant not only to those in the fields of architecture and urban planning, but also to large sections of wider society. To mark its twentieth anniversary, IG Architektur is turning its attention to the future. In this volume, it seeks to identify and discuss the topics that will be important to building culture over the coming twenty years. With contributions by Wojciech Czaja, Jens S. Baukultur ist als gemeinsame kulturelle Leistung nicht Privatsache, sondern physisches Abbild unserer Gesellschaft. Sie beschreibt nicht nur die Gestalt unseres Lebensraums auf allen Maßstabsebenen, sondern aber auch den Prozess seiner Entstehung, Aneignung, Nutzung und Erhaltung. Baukultur ist fest mit dem Alltag aller Menschen verwoben und beeinflusst ihr Zusammenleben und Wohlbefinden. Die Frage, wie wir dieses Zusammenleben gestalten wollen, treibt nicht nur Architekturschaffende und Stadtplanende um, sondern beschäftigt auch weite Teile der Gesellschaft. Anlässlich ihres zwanzigjährigen Bestehens richtet blickt die IG Architektur als Impulsplattform für Architektur und Baukultur mit diesem Buch nicht nur auf zwanzig Jahre kollektives, solidarisches Engagement für Architektur und Baukultur zurück, sondern richtet den Blick vor allem in die Zukunft: Welche Themen werden für die Baukultur in den kommenden zwanzig Jahren wichtig sein?
