Retinoblastoma: Diagnosis to Management

Retinoblastoma is a unique malignancy. Unlike most of the solid tumors of the human body, retinoblastoma tumors can be directly visualized and examined. In-depth understanding of the clinical features, indications for appropriate imaging and protocol-based treatment for retinoblastoma have proven to be valuable in managing this intraocular malignancy. The treatment options for retinoblastoma have evolved significantly and now strive for better globe and visual function salvage. There is, however, an undeniable disparity in presentation, accessibility of care, patient compliance and outcomes seen between the developed world and developing or under-developed parts of the world.
