Riot Queens

From award-winning author, Kate Foster, comes a dark, visceral and unapologetically spicy reimagining of London's infamous Bawdy House Riots of 1668. As a violent uprising of angry young men weaponizes morality to destroy the city's brothels, two women must navigate the chaos to clear their names - and save their lives

London 1668. When young aristocrat Sir William Howe is found dead in the charred shell of a burned-out brothel in St Giles, his devastated lover Marisa, the proprietress, fears she will be framed for his murder. Desperate for help, she turns to her love rival, the courtesan Lady Castlemaine, for help. But Lady Castlemaine has her own secrets. As the King's mistress she wields power and influence, but both teeter on a knife edge. If the King ever knew she'd betrayed him with Sir William, all she holds dear would disappear overnight. As London simmers and sparks with unrest and violence starts spilling onto the streets, these two women must decide whether to work together and survive, or try their chances alone... THE RIOT QUEENS is a dark historical story of love, rivalry, and survival from one of the most exciting historical authors of today.
