Simulated Lovers is an ongoing multimedia project thatinvestigates how romantic projection, emotional memory,and digital intimacy shape the construction of the self.Drawing from fictional narratives, gaming culture, datingplatforms, and Al companionship, the artist assembles a deeplypersonal archive that blurs the boundary between fantasy andemotional truth.Through fictional icons and real-world collaborations,Beatriz builds a multi-layered portrait of longing in the digitalage. What begins as a search for the perfect other becomes amirror for the artist herself — revealing not only who she hasdesired, but also who she has become throughthe process of imagining them.This body of work presents pieces developed over severalyears, combining video, photography, and digital media.Each one functions as part of a larger narrative — one thatmaps the shifting landscape of desire, vulnerability, and thepsychological architecture of love in the post-digital age.Simulated Lovers is not about romance in theconventional sense.
