Social and Psychological Factors of Cannabis Use in Later Life by Generation Jones : Still Dazed and Confused

This book explores later-in-life cannabis use among those born between 1954 and 1965. By examining the resurgence of cannabis use in this group, it explores the ways in which societal shifts and legal changes have the potential to influence habits. Drawing on theoretical perspectives and extensive research, including data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, Black investigates the demographic, psychological, and sociological factors associated with marijuana use in later life, revealing intriguing trends, such as higher usage among older women and those with higher incomes. Additionally, the book draws on personal narratives, providing a rich qualitative analysis of Generation Jones’s motivations and experiences with marijuana.
