This book explores the nature of foreign exchange speculation based on the existence of destabilizing speculation in the form of speculative currency bubbles, dealing with an assessment of the economic and political costs imposed by these bubbles on the international trading and monetary system.

I began serious consideration of the issues and subject matter that comprise this book as a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
