St. Andrews and it's Golfing Legends

St Andrews and Its Golfing Legends contains over 200 images depicting the historical town and its world famous golf course, from just before the start of the 20th century until the Second World War. Many of these items of memorabilia are extremely rare, and along with the detailed captions, bring the past of this great sporting venue to life. Special attention is paid to the great people and places associated with the course, such as the Morrises, Harry Vardon, James Braid, Bobby Jones and members of the British Royal Family, the Old Course, the Royal and Ancient, ladies'' golf and, of course, the town itself - including the graveyard in the local cathedral where many of the players were laid to rest.
