The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have all left New York to pursue their own interests, but gathering forces will pull them back together in this first arc of a new ongoing series that collects the prelude story "Long Way From Home" and issues #1–6 by superstar writer Jason Aaron and an all-star lineup of artists, including Joëlle Jones, Rafael Albuquerque, Cliff Chiang, Chris Burnham, Darick Robertson, and Juan Ferreyra!

Why is everyone’s favorite brawler in prison?! When a surprise attack behind bars puts Raphael’s position in jeopardy, he needs to figure out how to get out of jail and warn his brothers that trouble is coming. 

Michelangelo is living in Tokyo, where he’s become a big TV star. It’s a pretty cool life, full of fame and fortune, but if he’s being honest, Mikey misses his brothers and the sense of purpose they had together. Well, in a classic case of “be careful what you wish for,” that old life looks like it’s coming to find him when ninjas show up in his apartment armed to the teeth!

Leonardo is traveling the world in search of peace. All the adventures he’s had with his brothers—good and bad—have taken their toll, and he is seeking a new way to exist, leaving the life of New York far behind. On the banks of the Ganges, he has found a turtle colony that shows him a simpler way to be, but even these turtles have their foes. Leo can fend off the poachers easily, protecting his temporary home, but what will he do when a deadlier enemy comes searching for him?

Donatello is trapped in a mutant zoo and forced to fight rich men looking for a thrill, his mind still broken since last we saw him. As mysterious forces gather against him, can Donnie gather himself to defeat these enemies and set himself free?

And what has been going on in New York while the Turtles are scattered across the globe? A dangerous district attorney has come into power, and he’s got a grudge against mutantkind. Backed by some powerful benefactors who have designs of their own for the city, he’s doing everything he can to stoke hatred against the mutants. With the TMNT absent, someone needs to step in and stop this power grab—and figure out who is backing this nefarious new enemy. Enter Casey Jones!
