This is the story of just one of them - Roy J. Boyter, of the 29^th Division, 2^nd Batallion, 115^th Infantry Regiment, Company E. Roy served in the US Army between July 1943 and October of 1945 - a time of rapid developments and conflict. Roy survived a stiny as a prisoner of war and would go on to win the Purple Heart for his distinguished service.
