Created by Joni and Friends, this eight-session resource guides students through honest questions about pain, hardship, and God’s presence in the midst of suffering. Pointing consistently to Jesus as the Good Shepherd, it helps young men and women explore how trials can shape their understanding of God’s purposes and strengthen their trust in him. Designed for meaningful group discussion, the study includes leader’s notes, real-life stories, biblical application, suggested video clips, and action plans that bring gospel truth into everyday struggles. As students learn how the church bears one another’s burdens, they are encouraged not only to seek comfort for themselves, but also to walk with compassion alongside those who are afflicted, disabled, and marginalized.
