The archaeology of the body has recently emerged as one of the most promising new fields in archaeology, using a fresh approach to look at archaeological data from a different angle and interpreting society in a new way. This volume tracks the changing individual and social identities of early Iron Age people through body-related practices and imagery. The analysis of how image elements were connected reveals networks of social relations that connect central Europe to the Mediterranean.
