For over 40 years, excavations in Bahrain have unearthed numerous burial sites dating from the Tylos Period (c.300 BC–AD 600). Analyzing glass and pottery finds, the study sets a chronological framework for 29 cemeteries across two regions, enriched with 380 vivid illustrations revealing geographical and social dimensions.
Over the past 40 years the Bahraini authorities have excavated at very large number of burials from the so-called Tylos Period (c. BC 300 to AD 600). In 2007, the glass and pottery from these burials were published and a chronological framework for the burials was thus established. In this volume 29 cemeteries from two areas in Bahrain are presented and analyzed in a geographical, chronological and social perspective. The book is well illustrated with 380 drawings and photos, most of them in color.
