Inspired by her own life experiences of God''s extraordinary timing, this book examines Jesus'' first coming celebrated at Christmas through the spectrum of time and history. Using Old Testament prophecies and New Testament accounts, it focuses on both the big picture and the little details. It shows how God is intricately involved in events on a global scale as well as in the lives of individual people. It seeks to encourage the reader to consider and prepare for Jesus'' return, which is also clearly prophesied in both the Old and New Testaments. Continuing from December 1st to January 6th, these thematic readings are accompanied each day by the author''s comments and helpful illustrations. There is also a suggested Christian song or hymn and a different name of God or Jesus, which complements the theme. Most Advent devotionals end on Christmas Day but this book takes the reader all the way through to Epiphany.
