Volume 2 covers pentatonic scales (major, minor, minor 6, dominant 7 and more), diminished scales, approach notes, licks over major and minor ii-V-Is, chord tensions, playing to an agenda, motivic development, odd time signatures, rhythm (superimposition, displacement, new metres, over the bar line), slash chords, pattern playing and outside playing.

There are hundreds of downloadable demo and backing tracks in various different grooves from New Orleans funk and jazz to modern R’n’B. Examples show common lines, licks, and progressions that form the basis of many great solos.
