Un-hap-puppy : Fun with words, valuable lessons

Un-hap-puppy is about Theo the puppy who is always unhappy because he never sees the good in anything. It shows the importance of looking for the good in things and highlights the value of a positive attitude. Vibrant illustrations by Tanja Dunstan really bring the story to life.

Playing with words is part of the fun and in this book the words ‘unhappy’ and ‘puppy’ have been put together to make a playful word ‘un-hap-puppy’ – which means a puppy that is unhappy.

Un-hap-puppy is one of the ten books in the exciting Farm-tastic series by children’s author Jacqui Shepherd. Each book features an animal on a farm and highlights an important life lesson through the story. The books have beautiful, full-colour illustrations and accessible language for both first- and second-language learners. The word play used in all the books adds an extra element of fun that children are sure to love. The books are perfect for reading to little ones and for older children to read by themselves.
