Carrots by Ally Merkel (2 men) - Best friends Jack and Everett shoot hoops the night before Jack is supposed to depart for a summer at piano camp - an event that Jack is determined to get himself out of, even if that means losing some appendages. 2052 by Gretchen Surez-Pea (2 women, 1 man) - It's not the end of the world, but it feels like it. Almost three billion have died so far and Isolde struggles to find the reasons for the losses - including that of his late girlfriend, Maite.
