Wilhelm Reich, His Theory and Techniques is Israel Regardie''s way to honour and make many of Reichs valuable contributions to modern psychotherapeutic available. Israel Regardie, (1907-1985), was a Doctor of Chiropractic and he also practiced the psychotherapeutic methods of Wilhelm Reich, M.D. (1897-1957). This book begins by briefly describing Reichs struggle for intellectual freedom, imprisonment and death in prison because of his revolutionary Reichian Therapy and some controversial writing about the Sexual Revolution, scientific experiments into healing cancer, political views, discovery of orgone energy and other concepts which the powers that be at that time felt threatened by and wanted to censor. The rest of the book honours Reich by clearly describing and teaching his theories and techniques of Vegeto-therapy, which were invented to free patients from what Reich called the emotional plague of modern times -- a rigid, repressed, armoured state where people could not connect with their feelings, nor function as natural human beings. The following chapters discuss armouring, therapeutic methods, transference, affects, goals and self-regulation. Regardie breaks down and teaches this highly effective psychotherapeutic method in which the therapist manipulates the muscular armour directly, thus helping the patient to open their emotions, process and integrate them. J Marvin Spiegelman, Ph.D., (1926 - 2017) was an explorer of life and he wanted to share his experiences and knowledge. The Unhealed Healer is primarily a record of Dr Spiegelmans experiences [during] the first four years of eight-years in Reichian therapy with Dr Francis Israel Regardie. They were friends, colleagues and fellow healers.
